For the mum who is ready to reclaim her power and shift the weight of birth trauma.
We see you beautiful one, you didn’t get the start that you wanted for you and your little one. You put all the work in, the vision, the planning, the preparation. All the promises of creating the birth you wished for and here you are now, sitting on the other side feeling tired, resentful, and angry.
We know it wasn’t what you expected. You were promised softness, new born bliss, and for the hard times to dissipate once you had your baby in your arms and now you are here unable to get to sleep each night, flash backs of the scenes that take you right back to being there.
We understand the ease of shutting it down, soldiering on, and pushing it out of mind but also know the reality, that your body holds the story and you cant ignore each time your heart beats fast, and the pit in your stomach returns.
The intrusive repetition of believing each time you pick your baby up you will drop them or hit their head against the wall. No one ever told you this could be the reality once you bring your baby home.
The cycle always ending with you thinking what’s wrong with me, why can’t I get over this? Like you should just move on, then quickly realising you are not over this and the thought of birthing another baby feels unthinkable.
There is another way to hold your birth experience.
Now picture this: After the weight has shifted you feel
At ease talking with your newly postpartum mum friends who share their birth experience.
A sense of embodied excitement at the prospect of another baby.
Connected to who you are.
Truly heard, deeply believed and finally understood
Open to the idea that this birth experience doesn't define you.
Empowered and resilient with the tools to move through hard times in the future.

Our own journeys of pregnancy, birth and postpartum led us here. They shaped us in ways we could never have imagined. Sometimes they leave us tender, searching, and longing for a way back to ourselves.
For Ali, the breadcrumbs began with the shifts of matrescence—changes in identity, priorities, values, and even career. When she returned from maternity leave after her second child, the very first thing I offered was a pregnancy circle. In that first gathering, a mother bravely shared her story—a traumatic first birth. As she spoke, I felt something shift. she knew she wanted to create spaces where mothers could share their birth stories without fear, shame, or minimisation.
Bronte’s own experience of pregnancy and birth opened up a new sense of understanding and lived experience of trauma and motherhood. With a background in trauma work, she could see the deep need for awareness, validation, and specialised support in the birth and postpartum space, especially the gaps in mental health support for new parents.
Bronte and Ali met at a professional development session and instantly were drawn to each other's enthusiasm and passion for supporting mothers in this space.
Over many conversations, hearing other mothers stories and sitting in personal reflection and professional development Bronte and Ali created Reconnection for mothers like you.
